     Maj.-Gen. Henry Anthony Lascelles was born on 10 January 1912.¹ He was the son of Edward Charles Ponsonby Lascelles and Leila Winifred Leonor Kennett-Barrington.¹ He married Ethne Hyde Ussher Charles, daughter of Norman Charles, on 5 March 1941.¹ He died on 13 July 2000 at age 88 at Slough, Berkshire, England.²
     Maj.-Gen. Henry Anthony Lascelles usually went by his middle name of Anthony.¹ He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Tank Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1962.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1967.¹ He lived at Manor Farm Cottage, Hedgerley Green, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Frederick Arthur Aylmer was born on 21 October 1849.² He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Henry Aylmer and Charlotte Louisa Gwatkin.^1,2 He married Constance Isabella Grenfell, daughter of Charles William Grenfell and Georgiana Caroline Lascelles, on 21 January 1890.² He died on 29 March 1918 at age 68.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.² He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in the Royal Artillery.²

     John Leveson-Gower, 1st Baron Gower of Stittenham was born on 7 January 1674/75.¹ He was the son of Sir William Leveson-Gower, 4th Bt. and Lady Jane Granville.¹ He married Lady Catherine Manners, daughter of John Manners, 1st Duke of Rutland and Hon. Catherine Noel, circa September 1692.¹ He died on 31 August 1709 at age 34.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Gower [E., 1620] in December 1691.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newcastle-under-Lyme between 1692 and 1703.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) between 1702 and 1707.¹ He was created 1st Baron Gower of Stittenham, co. York [Great Britain] on 16 March 1702/3.² He was Commissioner for the Union of Scottish and English Parliaments in 1706.¹

     Lady Catherine Manners was born in 1675.² She was the daughter of John Manners, 1st Duke of Rutland and Hon. Catherine Noel.³ She married John Leveson-Gower, 1st Baron Gower of Stittenham, son of Sir William Leveson-Gower, 4th Bt. and Lady Jane Granville, circa September 1692.¹ She died on 7 March 1722.¹
     Her married name became Leveson-Gower. After her marriage, Lady Catherine Manners was styled as Baroness Gower of Stittenham on 16 March 1702/3.

     John Manners, 1st Duke of Rutland was born on 29 May 1638.¹ He was the son of John Manners, 8th Earl of Rutland and Hon. Frances Montagu.² He married, firstly, Lady Anne Pierrepont, daughter of Henry Pierrepont, 1st and last Marquess of Dorchester and Hon. Cicelia Bayning, on 15 July 1658.¹ He and Lady Anne Pierrepont were divorced in 1666.¹ He married, secondly, Lady Diana Bruce, daughter of Robert Bruce, 2nd Earl of Elgin and Lady Diana Grey, on 20 November 1671.¹ He married, thirdly, Hon. Catherine Noel, daughter of Baptist Noel, 3rd Viscount Campden and Lady Elizabeth Bertie, on 8 January 1673/74.² He died on 10 January 1711 at age 72.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire between 1661 and 1679.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire between 1677 and 1687.¹ He was created 1st Lord Manners of Haddon [England by writ] on 30 April 1679.² He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Rutland [E., 1525] on 29 September 1679.² In 1688 he was one of the principal supporters of the Revolution, helping raising Nottinghamshire for William of Orange and shetering James II’s daughter, Princess Anne at Belvior when she fled from London.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire between 1698 and 1703.¹ He was created 1st Marquess of Granby, co. Nottingham [England] on 29 March 1703.¹ He was created 1st Duke of Rutland [England] on 29 March 1703.¹

     Hon. William Leveson-Gower was the son of John Leveson-Gower, 1st Baron Gower of Stittenham and Lady Catherine Manners.² He married Anne Grosvenor, daughter of Sir Thomas Grosvenor, 3rd Bt. and Mary Davis, on 26 May 1730.¹ He died on 13 December 1756.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Staffordshire between 1720 and 1756.²

     Sir Robert Grosvenor, 6th Bt. was born on 7 May 1695.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Grosvenor, 3rd Bt. and Mary Davis.¹ He married Jane Warre, daughter of Thomas Warre and Dorothea Tregonwell, on 21 May 1730.¹ He died on 1 August 1755 at age 60.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Grosvenor, of Eaton, co. Chester [E., 1622] on 31 January 1733.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chester between 1735 and 1755.¹

     Jane Warre was born circa 1705.² She was the daughter of Thomas Warre and Dorothea Tregonwell.^1,3 She married Sir Robert Grosvenor, 6th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Grosvenor, 3rd Bt. and Mary Davis, on 21 May 1730.¹ She died circa 22 May 1791.¹ She was buried on 25 May 1791.¹
     Her married name became Grosvenor.

     Sir Thomas Grosvenor, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1656.² He was the son of Roger Grosvenor and Christian Myddelton.³ He married Mary Davis, daughter of Alexander Davis, on 10 October 1677.⁴ He died circa 30 June 1700.⁴ He was buried on 2 July 1700.⁴
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Grosvenor, of Eaton, co. Chester [E., 1622] on 31 January 1664.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chester between 1679 and 1700.⁴ He held the office of Mayor of Chester in 1685.⁴
