Jane Leveson-Gower was the daughter of John Leveson-Gower, 1st Baron Gower of Stittenham and Lady Catherine Manners.1,2 She married John Proby, son of William Proby and Henrietta Cornwall, on 5 January 1719.3 She was also reported to have been married on 5 January 1720.3 She died on 10 June 1726.3
     From 5 January 1719, her married name became Proby.3

     John Proby was the son of William Proby and Henrietta Cornwall.2 He married Hon. Jane Leveson-Gower, daughter of John Leveson-Gower, 1st Baron Gower of Stittenham and Lady Catherine Manners, on 5 January 1719.3 He was also reported to have been married on 5 January 1720.3 He died on 16 March 1762.3
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdonshire between 1722 and 1727.2,3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stamford between 1734 and 1747.3 He lived at Elton Hall, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.1

     Sir John Thomas Selwyn, 6th Bt. was born in 1789.1 He was the son of Sir James Ibbetson, 2nd Bt. and Jane Caygill.1 He married Isabella Leveson-Gower, daughter of General John Leveson-Gower and Isabella Mary Broke, on 8 September 1825.1 He died on 20 March 1869.1
     He was given the name of John Thomas Ibbetson at birth.1 In 1825 his name was legally changed to John Thomas Selwyn.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Ibbetson [G.B., 1748] on 6 July 1861.1
