     Lt.-Col. Claud Aylmer was born on 23 September 1900.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Arthur Aylmer and Constance Isabella Grenfell.¹ He married Margaret Victoria Hemming, daughter of Frank Hemming, on 19 July 1928.¹ He died on 12 October 1952 at age 52.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Margaret Victoria Hemming is the daughter of Frank Hemming.¹ She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Claud Aylmer, son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Arthur Aylmer and Constance Isabella Grenfell, on 19 July 1928.¹ She married, secondly, Commander John Rodolf Perronet Thompson, son of Maj.-Gen. Charles William Thompson, on 1 December 1954.¹
     From 19 July 1928, her married name became Aylmer. From 1 December 1954, her married name became Thompson. In 1982 her name was legally changed to Aylmer by Deed Poll.¹ She lived in 1999 at Old Marston, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹
