She married Konstantin Nikolaievich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia, son of Nikolai I Pavlovich Romanov, Tsar of Russia and Friederike Luise Charlotte Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Preußen, on 11 September 1848 [30 Aug 1848 O.S.] at St. Petersburg, Russia^G.⁴ She died on 6 July 1911 at age 80 at St. Petersburg, Russia^G.⁴
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Sachsen-Altenburg.⁴ From 11 September 1848, her married name became Aleksandra Iosifovna Romanov.⁴

     Joseph Georg Friedrich Ernst Karl Herzog von Sachsen-Altenburg was born on 27 August 1789 at Hildburghausen, Germany^G.² He was the son of Friedrich Herzog von Sachsen-Altenburg and Charlotte Georgine Luise Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Strelitz.² He married Amelie Theresa Luise Wilhelmine Philippina Herzogin von Württemberg, daughter of Ludwig Friedrich Alexander Herzog von Württemberg and Henriette Prinzessin von Nassau-Weilburg, on 24 April 1817 at Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany^G.² He died on 25 November 1868 at age 79 at Altenburg, Germany^G.²
     He gained the title of Herzog von Sachsen-Altenburg.

     Amelie Theresa Luise Wilhelmine Philippina Herzogin von Württemberg was born on 28 June 1799 at Wallisfurth^G.³ She was the daughter of Ludwig Friedrich Alexander Herzog von Württemberg and Henriette Prinzessin von Nassau-Weilburg. She married Joseph Georg Friedrich Ernst Karl Herzog von Sachsen-Altenburg, son of Friedrich Herzog von Sachsen-Altenburg and Charlotte Georgine Luise Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Strelitz, on 24 April 1817 at Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany^G.³ She died on 28 November 1848 at age 49 at Altenburg, Germany^G.³

     Karl Wilhelm Ludwig Prinz General von Hessen und bei Rhein was born on 23 April 1809 at Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany^G.² He was the son of Ludwig II Großherzog von Hessen und bei Rhein and Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Baden.³ He married Marie Elisabeth Caroline Viktoria Prinzessin von Preußen, daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Prinz von Preußen and Marie Anne Prinzessin von Hessen-Homburg, on 22 October 1836.² He died on 20 March 1877 at age 67 at Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany^G.²

     Marie Elisabeth Caroline Viktoria Prinzessin von Preußen was born on 18 June 1815.² She was the daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Prinz von Preußen and Marie Anne Prinzessin von Hessen-Homburg. She married Karl Wilhelm Ludwig Prinz General von Hessen und bei Rhein, son of Ludwig II Großherzog von Hessen und bei Rhein and Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Baden, on 22 October 1836.² She died on 21 March 1885 at age 69 at Bessungen, Germany^G.²
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Preußen.¹

     Georg Valdemar Karl Axel zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Prince of Denmark was born on 16 April 1920 at Bernstorff Castle, Denmark.³ He was the son of Axel Christian George zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Prince of Denmark and Margareta Sophie Louise Ingerborg Bernadotte, Princess of Sweden.⁴ He married Anne Ferelith Fenella Bowes-Lyon, daughter of Hon. John Herbert Bowes-Lyon and Hon. Fenella Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis, on 16 September 1950 at Glamis Castle, Glamis, Angus, Scotland^G.³ He died on 29 September 1986 at age 66 at Copenhagen, Denmark^G.
