Sir Anthony Thomas Abdy, 5th Bt.1 
He was educated at Felsted School, Essex, EnglandG.2 He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.2 He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1738.1 He was a barrister in 1744.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Abdy, of Felix Hall [in Kelvedon], co. Essex [E., 1641] on 18 January 1749/50, then ‘of Chobham Place, Surrey.1‘ In 1759 he succeeded to the estates of Albyn, in Stapleford Abbots, Essex, under the will of Sir John Abdy, 4th Baronet of Albyns.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Knaresborough between 1763 and 1775.1 He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1765.1,2

He was educated between 1791 and 1793 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1,3 He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 27 January 1796.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1798 in the South Essex Militia.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.3 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Abdy, of Felix Hall [in Kelvedon], co. Essex [E., 1641] on 21 July 1803, then ‘of Chobham Place, Surrey.1‘ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1807 in the Southwark Volunteers.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Malmesbury from 1817 to 1818.3
On his death, his Baronetcy became extinct.2

Sir John Abdy, 1st and last Bt.1 
He was appointed Knight before 1660.1 He was created 1st Baronet Abdy, of Moores [in Salcot Virley], co. Essex [England] on 22 June 1660.1
On his death, his Baronetcy became extinct, and his estates devolved on his brother, Sir Robert Abdy, 1st Baronet of Albyns.1
