     John Bourke, 1st Earl of Mayo was born circa 1700.¹ He was the son of Rickard Bourke and Catherine Minchin.¹ He married Mary Deane, daughter of Rt. Hon. Joseph Deane and Margaret Boyle, in 1726.¹ He died on 2 December 1790.¹
     He was created 1st Baron Naas of Naas, co. Kildare [Ireland] on 1 August 1776.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Mayo of Monycrower, co. Mayo [Ireland] on 13 January 1781.¹ He was created 1st Earl of the County of Mayo [Ireland] on 24 June 1785.¹

     Mary Deane was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Joseph Deane and Margaret Boyle.¹ She married John Bourke, 1st Earl of Mayo, son of Rickard Bourke and Catherine Minchin, in 1726.¹ She died on 21 July 1774.¹
     From 1726, her married name became Bourke.

     Arthur Hill-Trevor, 2nd Viscount of Dungannon was born on 3 October 1763.¹ He was the son of Hon. Arthur Hill Trevor and Hon. Letitia Morres.¹ He married Hon. Charlotte Fitzroy, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Charles FitzRoy, 1st Baron Southampton and Anne Warren, on 30 July 1795.¹ He died on 14 December 1837 at age 74.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Hill of Olderfleet, of Belvior, co. Down and Brynkinalt [I., 1766] on 30 January 1771.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount of Dungannon [I., 1766] on 30 January 1771.¹

     James Hewitt, 4th Viscount Lifford was born on 31 March 1811 at Merrion Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of James Hewitt, 3rd Viscount Lifford and Hon. Mary Ann Maude. He married, firstly, Lady Mary Acheson, daughter of Archibald Acheson, 2nd Earl of Gosford and Mary Sparrow, on 9 July 1835.² He married, secondly, Lydia Lucy Wingfield Digby, daughter of Reverend John Digby Wingfield Digby and Anne Eliza Smith, on 9 December 1851.³ He died on 20 November 1887 at age 76 at Meen Glas Halt, County Donegal, Ireland^G.¹
     He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.³ He held the office of Sheriff of County Donegal in 1841.³ He wrote the book Ireland and the Irish Church, published 1842.³ He wrote the book Thoughts on the Present State of Ireland, published 1849.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Donegal.³ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1781] on 22 April 1855.³ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Lifford of Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1768] on 22 April 1855.³ He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] between 1856 and 1887.³ He wrote the book A Plea for Irish Landlords, published 1867.³

     Lady Mary Acheson was born on 27 June 1809.² She was the daughter of Archibald Acheson, 2nd Earl of Gosford and Mary Sparrow.¹ She married James Hewitt, 4th Viscount Lifford, son of James Hewitt, 3rd Viscount Lifford and Hon. Mary Ann Maude, on 9 July 1835.¹ She died on 13 March 1850 at age 40 at Monellan House, Donaghmore, County Donegal, Ireland^G.³
     Her married name became Hewitt.

     Archibald Acheson, 2nd Earl of Gosford was born on 1 August 1776 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England^G.² He was the son of Arthur Acheson, 1st Earl of Gosford and Millicent Pole.^1,2 He married Mary Sparrow, daughter of Robert Sparrow and Mary Bernard, on 20 July 1805 at St. Mary, St. Marylebone, London, England^G.² He died on 27 March 1849 at age 72 at Markethill, Mullaghbrack, County Armagh, Ireland^G.²
     He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Armagh between 1797 and 1807.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Acheson, of Market Hill [in Clonekearney], co. Armagh [N.S., 1628] on 14 January 1807.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Gosford [I., 1806] on 14 January 1807.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Gosford of Market Hill, co. Armagh [I., 1785] on 14 January 1807.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Gosford of Market Hill, co.      Mary Sparrow was born on 14 April 1777 at Mary-le-Bone, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of Robert Sparrow and Mary Bernard.^1,2 She married Archibald Acheson, 2nd Earl of Gosford, son of Arthur Acheson, 1st Earl of Gosford and Millicent Pole, on 20 July 1805 at St. Mary, St. Marylebone, London, England^G.² She died on 30 June 1841 at age 64 at Worlingham Hall, Worlingham, England^G.²
     From 20 July 1805, her married name became Acheson. After her marriage, Mary Sparrow was styled as Countess of Gosford on 14 January 1807.

     Robert Sparrow is the son of Robert Sparrow and Anne Bence.² He married Mary Bernard, daughter of Sir John Bernard, 4th Bt. and Mary St. John, on 8 July 1771 at St.Mary-le-Bone, London, England^G.²
     He lived at Worlingham Hall, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     John Theophilus Beresford was born in 1792.¹ He was the son of Marcus Beresford and Lady Frances Arabella Leeson.¹ He died on 19 January 1812 at Spain^G, killed.¹

     Major Rt. Hon. William Beresford was born on 17 April 1797.¹ He was the son of Marcus Beresford and Lady Frances Arabella Leeson.¹ He married Catherine Heneage, daughter of George Robert Heneage and Frances Anne Ainslie, on 19 December 1833.¹ He died on 6 October 1883 at age 86.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Essex between 1847 and 1865.¹ He held the office of Secretary for War in 1852.¹
