     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.² He gained the rank of Ensign in 1856 in the 4th Foot.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1857 in the 3rd Foot.² He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Donegal Royal Field Reserve Artillery.² He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1781] on 20 November 1887.² He succeeded as the 5th Baron Lifford of Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1768] on 20 November 1887.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Donegal.²

     Kathleen Anica Hordern was born on 13 October 1865.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Houstonne James Hordern and Catherine Jane Campbell.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Kathleen Rosalind Dobbs was born on 8 December 1903 at Chateaux d’Oex, Switzerland^G.⁴ She was the daughter of George Cumberland Dobbs and Rosalind Heyworth Potter.⁴ She married Thomas Malcolm Muggeridge, son of Henry Thomas Benjamin Muggeridge and Annie Booler, in September 1927 at Birmingham South, West Midlands, England^G.^2,3 She died on 11 June 1994 at age 90 at Welland, Ontario, Canada^G.⁴ She was buried at St. Mary Magdalene, Whatlington, Battle, Sussex, England^G.⁴
     She was educated at Bedales School, Petersfield, Hampshire, England^G.⁴ From September 1927, her married name became Muggeridge.⁴

     Richard Heyworth Dobbs was born in 1905.¹ He was the son of George Cumberland Dobbs and Rosalind Heyworth Potter.¹ He married Phyllis M. Leon in 1931.¹ He died in 1980.¹

     William Ronald Dobbs was born in 1906.¹ He is the son of George Cumberland Dobbs and Rosalind Heyworth Potter.¹ He married Ruth Denise Dobbs in 1936.¹

     Muriel Joyce Ware was born on 3 August 1903 at Prestwich, Lancashire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Herbert Ware and Edith Mary Donley.¹ She married Sealey Patrick Dobbs, son of George Cumberland Dobbs and Rosalind Heyworth Potter, in 1926.¹ She died in July 2000 at age 96 at Bournemouth, Hampshire, England^G.¹
