     Thomas Watson, 3rd Earl of Rockingham was born on 30 December 1715.¹ He was the son of Edward Watson, Viscount Sondes and Lady Katherine Tufton.¹ He died on 26 February 1745/46 at age 30, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Lincoln’s Inn.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Canterbury between 1741 and 1746.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kent from 1745 to 1746.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Rockingham [E., 1645] on 4 December 1745. He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Watson, of Rockingham Castle, co. Northampton [E., 1621] on 4 December 1745. He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Rockingham, co. Northampton [G.B., 1714] on 4 December 1745.¹ On his death, his earldom became extinct.

     Edward Southwell was the son of Edward Southwell.² He married Hon. Catherine Watson, daughter of Edward Watson, Viscount Sondes and Lady Katherine Tufton, on 21 August 1729.² He died on 16 March 1755.¹
     He held the office of Principal Secretary of State [Ireland].¹ He lived at King’s Weston, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Stanley Jackson was born on 21 November 1870 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of William Lawies Jackson, 1st Baron Allerton and Grace Tempest.¹ He married Julia Henrietta Harrison-Broadley, daughter of Henry Broadley Harrison-Broadley, on 5 November 1902.³ He died on 9 March 1947 at age 76.³
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.³ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)³ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the East Riding, Yorkshire between 1915 and 1926.³ He was Governor between 1923 and 1927 at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1926.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.) in 1927.¹ He held the office of Governor of Bengal between 1927 and 1932.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.) in 1932.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1937 for services to cricket.⁴ He was Governor between 1939 and 1947 at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.³ He was president of the Marylebone Cricket Club.⁴ He was a well-known cricketer, and played 15 tests for England between 1898 and 1912, with 10 as captain.^1,4

     George William Jackson, 3rd Baron Allerton was born on 23 July 1903.¹ He was the son of George Herbert Jackson, 2nd Baron Allerton and Katherine Louisa Wickham.¹ He married, firstly, Christine Joyce Hatfeild, daughter of John Randall Hatfeild and Nest Hyde, on 6 July 1926 at Wellington Barracks, Guards Chapel, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He and Christine Joyce Hatfeild were divorced in 1934.¹ He married, secondly, Hope Aline Havelock-Allan, daughter of Allan Havelock-Allan and Anne Julia Chaytor, on 2 August 1934.¹ He and Hope Aline Havelock-Allan were divorced in 1947.³ He married Anne Lorina Fountayne, daughter of James Montagu Fountayne, on 17 September 1947.³ He died on 1 July 1991 at age 87, without surviving male issue.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1923 in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Allerton, of Chapel-Allerton, co. York [U.K., 1902] on 29 January 1925.¹
     On his death, the Barony of Allerton became extinct.³

     Christine Joyce Hatfeild was the daughter of John Randall Hatfeild and Nest Hyde.¹ She married George William Jackson, 3rd Baron Allerton, son of George Herbert Jackson, 2nd Baron Allerton and Katherine Louisa Wickham, on 6 July 1926 at Wellington Barracks, Guards Chapel, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ She and George William Jackson, 3rd Baron Allerton were divorced in 1934.¹ She died on 6 May 1953 at Thorp Arch, Yorkshire, England^G.²
     After her marriage, Christine Joyce Hatfeild was styled as Baroness Allerton on 6 July 1926. From 6 July 1926, her married name became Jackson.¹

     Edward Southwell, 21st Lord de Clifford was born on 20 June 1767.¹ He was the son of Edward Southwell, 20th Lord Clifford and Sophia Campbell.¹ He was baptised on 8 July 1767 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ He married Lady Mary Elizabeth Bourke, daughter of Most Rev. Joseph Deane Bourke, 3rd Earl of Mayo and Elizabeth Meade, on 19 February 1789 at St. Anne’s Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He died on 30 September 1832 at age 65 at Brighton, Sussex, England^G, without issue.¹ He was buried on 12 October 1832 at Henbury, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 8 December 1832.¹
     He succeeded as the 21st Lord de Clifford [E., 1299] on 1 November 1777, adding the prefix de to his title.¹ His last will was dated between 15 July 1824 and 17 February 1831.
     On his death, his barony fell into abeyance for the fourth time until 1833.¹

     Lady Mary Elizabeth Bourke was the daughter of Most Rev. Joseph Deane Bourke, 3rd Earl of Mayo and Elizabeth Meade.¹ She married Edward Southwell, 21st Lord de Clifford, son of Edward Southwell, 20th Lord Clifford and Sophia Campbell, on 19 February 1789 at St. Anne’s Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ She died on 28 May 1845 at Carlton House Terrace, London, England^G.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) in June 1845.¹
     Her married name became Southwell.

     Most Rev. Joseph Deane Bourke, 3rd Earl of Mayo was born in 1736.² He was the son of John Bourke, 1st Earl of Mayo and Mary Deane.² He married Elizabeth Meade, daughter of Sir Richard Meade, 3rd Bt. and Catherine Prittie, in 1760.³ He died on 20 August 1794.²
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1782.² He held the office of Archbishop of Tuam between 1782 and 1794.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of the County of Mayo [I., 1785] on 20 April 1792.² He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Mayo of Monycrower, co. Mayo [I., 1781] on 20 April 1792.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Naas of Naas, co. Kildare [I., 1776] on 20 April 1792.²

     Elizabeth Meade was the daughter of Sir Richard Meade, 3rd Bt. and Catherine Prittie.² She married Most Rev. Joseph Deane Bourke, 3rd Earl of Mayo, son of John Bourke, 1st Earl of Mayo and Mary Deane, in 1760.¹ She died on 13 March 1807.²
     Her married name became Bourke. After her marriage, Elizabeth Meade was styled as Countess of Mayo on 20 April 1792.

     Sir Richard Meade, 3rd Bt. was born in 1697.² He was the son of Sir John Meade, 1st Bt. and Hon. Elizabeth Butler.³ He married, firstly, Catherine Prittie, daughter of Henry Prittie and Elizabeth Harrison, in 1736.² He died on 26 May 1744.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Meade, of Ballintubber, co. Cork [I., 1703] circa July 1711.² He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kinsale between 1725 and 1744.²
