     He was educated at Aiglon College, Chesières-Villars, Switzerland^G.² He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1781] in 1987.² He held the office of member of the London Stock Exchange.² He succeeded as the 9th Baron Lifford of Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1768] in 1987.¹ He was director of Cobbold Neilson Ltd in 1991.² He was director of City of Winchester Investments plc, Rathbone Bros plc and WCIMS plc.² He lived in 2003 at Field House, Hursley, Hampshire, England^G.²

     Hon. Lydia Mary Hewitt was born on 10 May 1938.¹ She is the daughter of Alan William Wingfield Hewitt, 8th Viscount Lifford and Alison Mary Patricia Ashton.² She married Sir Michael Christopher Swann, 4th Bt., son of Sir Anthony Charles Christopher Swann, 3rd Bt. and Jean Margaret Niblock-Stuart, on 24 April 1965.¹ She and Sir Michael Christopher Swann, 4th Bt. were divorced in 1983.²
     From 24 April 1965, her married name became Swann. She does not use her courtesy title.¹ She lived in 2003 at Quedley Farm, Flimwell, Wadhurst, Sussex, England.¹

     Sir Michael Christopher Swann, 4th Bt. was born on 25 September 1941.² He is the son of Sir Anthony Charles Christopher Swann, 3rd Bt. and Jean Margaret Niblock-Stuart.² He married, firstly, Hon. Lydia Mary Hewitt, daughter of Alan William Wingfield Hewitt, 8th Viscount Lifford and Alison Mary Patricia Ashton, on 24 April 1965.¹ He and Hon. Lydia Mary Hewitt were divorced in 1983.² He married, secondly, Marilyn Ann Morse Tobitt, daughter of Leslie Charles Tobitt, in 1988.²

     Hon. Belinda Anne Hewitt was born on 21 December 1939.¹ She is the daughter of Alan William Wingfield Hewitt, 8th Viscount Lifford and Alison Mary Patricia Ashton.² She married Reverend Piers Eliot de Dutton Warburton, son of Piers Grove Eliot Warburton and Mary Louise Thompson, on 27 July 1963.¹
     From 27 July 1963, her married name became Warburton. She lived in 2003 at The Rectory, Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, England.¹
