     Sir Melville Leslie MacNaghten was born on 16 June 1853.² He was the son of Elliot MacNaghten and Isabella Law.³ He married Dora Emily Sanderson, daughter of Reverend Robert Edward Sanderson and Dorinthea Phelps Oldham, on 3 October 1878.⁴ He died on 12 May 1921 at age 67.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.² He was Assistant Commissioner of Metropolitan Police in 1903.² He was appointed Knight in 1907.² He was awarded the Knight Commander, White Military Order of Spain.² He was awarded the Commander, Order of Dannebrog 2nd Class.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1918.^1,5

     Henry Pitcairn, 10th of Pitcairn and Forthar was the son of George Pitcairn, 9th of Pitcairn and Forthar.² He married Elizabeth Ramsay of Ramsay.² He died after 1456.²

     Lorna Mary Pickering is the daughter of John Pickering.¹ She married John Frederic Gibson, son of Hon. Ernest Victor Gibson and Caroline de Billier, on 17 March 1947.¹
     From 17 March 1947, her married name became Gibson.¹

     Lady Augusta Bingham was born on 7 February 1832.¹ She was the daughter of Field Marshal George Charles Bingham, 3rd Earl of Lucan and Lady Anne Brudenell.¹ She married Henry Gerard Sturt, 1st Baron Alington of Crichel, son of Henry Charles Sturt and Lady Charlotte Penelope Brudenell, on 10 September 1853.¹ She died on 3 July 1888 at age 56 at Alington House, London, England^G.^1,2
     Her married name became Sturt. After her marriage, Lady Augusta Bingham was styled as Baroness Alington of Crichel on 15 January 1876.

     Evelyn Henrietta Leigh was the daughter of Henry Blundell Leigh and Henrietta Dorothy Hawkes.^1,2 She married Henry Gerard Sturt, 1st Baron Alington of Crichel, son of Henry Charles Sturt and Lady Charlotte Penelope Brudenell, on 10 February 1892 at St. Paul’s, Knightsbridge, London, England^G.¹ She died on 23 January 1939, without issue.²
     After her marriage, Evelyn Henrietta Leigh was styled as Baroness Alington of Crichel on 10 February 1892. From 10 February 1892, her married name became Sturt.

     David Lindsay was the son of William Lindsay and Isabel Logan.
     He lived at Pyotstone^G.

     Major Martin Eccles Lindsay Bethune was the son of Henry Bethune and Margaret Eccles. He married Margaret Augusta Tovey, daughter of General James Tovey.¹ He died on 22 July 1813.¹

     Margaret Augusta Tovey is the daughter of General James Tovey.¹ She married Major Martin Eccles Lindsay Bethune, son of Henry Bethune and Margaret Eccles.¹
     Her married name became Bethune.¹

     Alexander Monypenny Lindsay was born on 7 April 1836.¹ He was the son of David Ayton-Lindsay of Wormiston and Jane Emilia Ayton.¹ He married Mary Sproat, daughter of Alexander Sproat, on 13 November 1872.¹ He died on 22 March 1905 at age 68, without issue.¹
     He was a practising Advocate.¹
