     Sophie Caroline Lascelles was born on 31 October 1958.¹ She is the daughter of Henry Giles Francis Lascelles and Caroline Venetia Baring.¹ She married Lord Richard Bruce Dundas, son of Lawrence Aldred Mervyn Dundas, 3rd Marquess of Zetland and Katherine Mary Penelope Pike, on 9 April 1983.¹ She and Lord Richard Bruce Dundas were divorced in 1992.²
     From 9 April 1983, her married name became Dundas.¹
