He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He matriculated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 30 May 1839.1 He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1843 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), 4th class classics.1 He was the Rector in 1854 at Wouldham, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was the Rector between 1865 and 1875 at Holwell, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Boyd, of Danson, co. Kent [G.B., 1775] on 2 June 1876.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
