     Sir Harry Dent Goring, 8th Bt. was born on 30 December 1801 at Devonshire Place, Marylebone, London, England^G.² He was the son of Sir Charles Forster Goring, 7th Bt. and Bridget Dent.² He was baptised on 10 February 1802 at Washington, Sussex, England^G.² He married, firstly, Augusta Harvey, daughter of John Harvey and Frances Kerrison, on 2 August 1827 at Thorpe, Norfolk, England^G.² He and Augusta Harvey were divorced on 21 June 1841.³ He married, secondly, Mary Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of John Griffith Lewis and Elizabeth Thomas, on 11 May 1842 at Hove, Sussex, England^G.³ He died on 19 April 1859 at age 57 at Hotel Windsor, Rue Rivoli, Paris, France^G.²
     He matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 10 November 1820.² He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1824 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1829 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Shoreham between 1832 and 1841.² He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Bowyer, of Highden, Sussex [E., 1678] on 26 March 1844.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Anglesey in 1848.²

     Augusta Harvey was born on 18 July 1807.² She was the daughter of John Harvey and Frances Kerrison.^1,3 She was baptised on 26 August 1807 at Thorpe, Norfolk, England.² She married, firstly, Sir Harry Dent Goring, 8th Bt., son of Sir Charles Forster Goring, 7th Bt. and Bridget Dent, on 2 August 1827 at Thorpe, Norfolk, England^G.¹ She and Sir Harry Dent Goring, 8th Bt. were divorced on 21 June 1841.³ She married, secondly, Edward John Trelawny in 1846 at Clifton, Bristol, England.^3,2
     From 2 August 1827, her married name became Goring.¹ From 1846, her married name became Trelawny.³

     John Harvey was born on 5 May 1755.² He was the son of Robert Harvey and Judith Onley.³ He married Frances Kerrison, daughter of Sir Roger Kerrison, on 27 December 1782.² He died on 9 February 1842 at age 86.²

     General Sir Robert John Harvey was born on 21 February 1785.² He was the son of John Harvey and Frances Kerrison.¹ He married Charlotte Mary Harvey, daughter of Robert Harvey and Charlotte Purdy, on 5 June 1815.² He died on 18 June 1860 at age 75.²
     He was Aide-de-Camp to the Duke of Wellington at the Battles of Oporto, Busaco, Salamanca, Vittoria, Nive, Nivelle, Orthes and Toulouse, and the Sieges of Ciudad Rodrigo, Badajoz, Burgos and St. Sebastian.² He was appointed Knight, Order of Tower and Sword.² He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1817.² He was awarded the Knight Commander, Order of St. Bento d’Aviz.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Norfolk.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)² He lived at Mousehold House, Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.²

     Mary Elizabeth Lewis was born circa 1805 at Llanddyfnan, Anglesey, Wales.² She was the daughter of John Griffith Lewis and Elizabeth Thomas.^1,2 She married, firstly, Jones Panton.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Harry Dent Goring, 8th Bt., son of Sir Charles Forster Goring, 7th Bt. and Bridget Dent, on 11 May 1842 at Hove, Sussex, England^G.¹ She died on 20 October 1871.¹
     Her married name became Panton.¹ From 11 May 1842, her married name became Goring.¹
