He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Wombwell, of Wombwell, co. Yorks [G.B., 1778] on 2 November 1780.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire from 1809 to 1810.1
