     Reverend Samuel Charles Waldegrave was born on 14 May 1887.¹ He was the son of Reverend Samuel Edmund Waldegrave and Alice Millett.¹ He married, firstly, Muriel Vesteinn McClure, daughter of Rev. Canon Edmund McClure, on 10 January 1918.¹ He married, secondly, Katharine Joyce Maddison Hall, daughter of Reverend George Clement Maddison Hall, on 7 April 1945.¹ He died on 7 January 1965 at age 77, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1910 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1914 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 6th Battalion, King’s Liverpool Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Chaplain to the Forces between 1914 and 1918.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was Vicar between 1919 and 1923 at Fillongley, Coventry, Warwickshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Chaplain in 1922 in the 7th Royal Warwickshire Regiment (TA.)¹ He was Warden of the Birmingham City Union of Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs between 1924 and 1926.¹ He was Priest-in-Charge of Out Districts, Matabeland and Curate between 1926 and 1930 at St. John, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.¹ He was Mission to Seamen Chaplain, Port of London between 1930 and 1933 at London, England.¹ He was Curate between 1933 and 1936 at Holy Trinity, Wimbledon, London, England.¹ He was Curate in 1936 at Holy Trinity, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was with the Church Army Mobile Canteen in 1940.¹ He was Assistant Chaplain to Mersey Missions to Seamen between 1941 and 1944.¹ He was Area Organiser of Northern Counties King George’s Fund for Sailors between 1944 and 1949.¹

     Charles Dudley Gresham married Alice Geraldine Ward, daughter of Francis Michael Ward and Anne Jane Clarke, on 29 June 1909.¹

     Arabella Ward was the daughter of Reverend Hon. Henry Ward and Anne Mahon.¹ She married William Robert Ward, son of Colonel Hon. Robert Ward and Louisa Jane Symes, in March 1845.¹ She died on 6 January 1908.¹

     William Robert Ward was born on 14 October 1806.² He was the son of Colonel Hon. Robert Ward and Louisa Jane Symes.² He married Arabella Ward, daughter of Reverend Hon. Henry Ward and Anne Mahon, in March 1845.² He died on 1 April 1879 at age 72.²
     He held the office of Secretary of Legation to The Hague.²

     Harriette Ward was the daughter of Reverend Hon. Henry Ward and Anne Mahon.¹ She married Robert Edward Ward, son of Michael Edward Ward and Lady Matilda Stewart, on 30 April 1857.¹ She died on 4 March 1881.¹

     Colonel Hon. Robert Ward was born on 14 July 1754.¹ He was the son of Bernard Ward, 1st Viscount Bangor and Lady Ann Bligh.¹ He married, firstly, Sophia Frances Whaley, daughter of Richard Chapell Whaley and Anne Ward, in 1782.¹ He married, secondly, Louisa Jane Symes, daughter of Reverend Abraham Symes, in 1797.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the South Down Militia.¹

     Sophia Frances Whaley was born circa 1762.² She was the daughter of Richard Chapell Whaley and Anne Ward.^1,2 She married Colonel Hon. Robert Ward, son of Bernard Ward, 1st Viscount Bangor and Lady Ann Bligh, in 1782.¹ She died in 1793.¹
     From 1782, her married name became Ward.¹

     Muriel Vesteinn McClure was the daughter of Rev. Canon Edmund McClure.¹ She married Reverend Samuel Charles Waldegrave, son of Reverend Samuel Edmund Waldegrave and Alice Millett, on 10 January 1918.¹ She died on 7 June 1943.¹
     Her married name became Waldegrave.
