Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Morgan, 2nd Bt. was born on 4 February 1760. He was the son of Sir Charles Morgan, 1st Bt. and Jane Morgan.3 He married Mary Margaret Stoney, daughter of Captain George Stoney, in 1791.4 He died on 5 December 1846 at age 86.4
He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.5 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Brecon between 1787 and 1796.5 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monmouthshire between 1796 and 1831.5 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Morgan [G.B., 1792] on 6 December 1806.3
