     Mary Fair was the daughter of Gamaliel Fair.² She married, secondly, John Ward, 2nd Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley, son of John Ward, 1st Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley and Anna Maria Bourchier, on 15 July 1788.¹ She married, thirdly, Benjamin Jennings on 14 August 1790.¹ She married, fourthly, Captain John Smith on 9 December 1791.¹ She died circa May 1810.¹ She was buried on 24 May 1810.¹
     Her married name became Baker.² From 15 July 1788, her married name became Ward. Her married name became Jennings. Her married name became Smith.

     Julia Bosville was the daughter of Godfrey Bosville.¹ She married William Ward, 3rd Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley, son of John Ward, 1st Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley and Mary Carver, on 1 August 1780.¹ She died on 23 June 1833.¹
     Her married name became Ward.

     John William Ward, 1st and last Earl of Dudley of Dudley Castle was born on 9 August 1781.¹ He was the son of William Ward, 3rd Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley and Julia Bosville.¹ He died on 6 March 1833 at age 51, unmarried.¹
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1802 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Downton from 1802 to 1803.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Worcester between 1803 and 1806.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Petersfield between 1806 and 1807.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Wareham between 1807 and 1812.¹ He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1818 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Bossiney between 1819 and 1823.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baron Ward of Birmingham, co. Warwick [E., 1644] on 25 April 1823.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Dudley and Ward of Dudley, co. Worcester [G.B., 1763] on 25 April 1823.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1827.¹ He held the office of Foreign Secretary between 1827 and 1828.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Ednam, of Ednam, co. Robburgh [U.K.] on 5 October 1827.¹ He was created 1st Earl of Dudley of Dudley Castle [U.K.] on 5 October 1827.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹
     On his death, the titles of Earl of Dudley, Viscount Ednam and Ward became extinct, while the Barony of Ward devolved on his second cousin.¹

     Elizabeth Hawkes is the daughter of John Hawkes.¹ She married Reverend William Ward, son of William Ward and Mary Grey.¹
     Her married name became Ward.¹

     Humble Ward was baptised on 1 December 1755.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Ward and Elizabeth Hawkes.¹ He married Susannah Beecroft circa 1779.¹ He died on 9 January 1785 at age 29.¹

     Frances Ward was the daughter of Reverend William Ward and Elizabeth Hawkes.¹ She married Washington Shirley, 8th Earl Ferrers, son of Robert Shirley, 6th Earl Ferrers and Catherine Cotton, on 24 July 1781.¹ She died on 4 March 1812.¹
     Her married name became Shirley.

     Washington Shirley, 8th Earl Ferrers was born on 13 November 1760.¹ He was the son of Robert Shirley, 6th Earl Ferrers and Catherine Cotton.² He married, firstly, Frances Ward, daughter of Reverend William Ward and Elizabeth Hawkes, on 24 July 1781.² He married, secondly, Sarah Davy, daughter of William Davy, on 29 September 1829.¹ He died on 2 October 1842 at age 81.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Earl Ferrers [G.B., 1711] on 2 May 1827.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Viscount Tamworth, of co. Stafford [G.B., 1711] on 2 May 1827.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Shirley, of Staunton Harold [E., 1611] on 2 May 1827.¹

     Susannah Beecroft married Humble Ward, son of Reverend William Ward and Elizabeth Hawkes, circa 1779.¹
     Her married name became Ward.

     William Humble Ward, 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham was born on 9 January 1781.¹ He was the son of Humble Ward and Susannah Beecroft.¹ He married Amelia Pillans, daughter of William Cooch Pillans, on 22 May 1816.¹ He died on 6 December 1835 at age 54.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Queens’ College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ At Himley, Staffordshire, England^G, the rector.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baron Ward of Birmingham, co. Warwick [E., 1644] on 6 March 1833.¹
