     John William Church was born on 29 November 1878.² He was the son of Sir William Selby Church, 1st Bt. and Sybil Constance Bigge.¹ He married Brenda Pattinson, daughter of Hugh Lee Pattinson, on 9 September 1908.² He died on 30 March 1918 at age 39, killed in action.²
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Hertfordshire Regiment.² He fought in the First World War.²

     Brigadier Sir Geoffrey Selby Church, 2nd Bt. was born on 11 January 1887 at Marylebone, London, England.^1,2 He was the son of Sir William Selby Church, 1st Bt. and Sybil Constance Bigge.¹ He married, firstly, Doris Louise Somerville, daughter of Sir William Somerville, on 24 October 1913.² He married, secondly, Helene Elizabeth Traynor, daughter of John L. Traynor, on 3 March 1920.² He died in 1979 at Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.² He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire in 1927.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Church, of Oxford [U.K., 1901] on 27 April 1928.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hertfordshire in 1931.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Hertfordshire in 1936.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery (TA.)² He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1940.² He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.²

     Doris Louise Somerville was born on 14 April 1891 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, England.¹ She was the daughter of Sir William Somerville.² She married Brigadier Sir Geoffrey Selby Church, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Selby Church, 1st Bt. and Sybil Constance Bigge, on 24 October 1913.² She died on 28 June 1917 at age 26 at London, England.^1,2
     From 24 October 1913, her married name became Church.¹

     Margaret Kennedy is the daughter of David Kennedy, 1st Earl of Cassillis and Lady Margaret Boyd.¹ She married Hugh Hamilton, 5th of Innerwick, son of Sir Alexander Hamilton, 4th of Ballencrieff and of Innerwick and Isobel Shaw.¹
     Her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Alexander Hamilton, 8th of Innerwick was the son of Sir Alexander Hamilton, 7th of Innerwick and Margaret Home.¹ He died after 1585.¹

     Margaret Home married Sir Alexander Hamilton, 7th of Innerwick, son of James Hamilton, 6th of Innerwick and Helen Home.¹
     Her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Alice Colden is the daughter of Alexander Colden.¹ She married Colonel Archibald Hamilton, son of Alexander Hamilton of Ballencrieff and Lady Mary Kerr.¹
     Her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Margaret Melville married James Bonar, 3rd of Rossie, son of William Melville, 3rd of Raith and Euphemia Lundie.¹
     Her married name became Bonar.¹

     Vice-Admiral Morgan Singer was born in 1831. He was the son of Most Rev. & Rt. Hon. Joseph Henderson Singer and Mary Crofton.¹ He married Frances Crofton Burn, daughter of General Robert Burn and Letitia Crofton, on 28 April 1857 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. He died in 1902 at Havant, Hampshire, England.²

     Francis Morgan Crofton Staveley was born on 25 June 1899 at Emsworth, Hampshire, England. He was the son of Robert Staveley and Helen ffolliott Singer.
