     Sir William Selby Church, 1st Bt. was born on 4 December 1837 at Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He was the son of John Church and Isabella Selby.¹ He married Sybil Constance Bigge, daughter of Charles John Bigge and Lewis Marianne Selby, on 14 July 1875.² He died on 27 April 1928 at age 90.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)² He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.) in 1870.² He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He held the office of President of the Royal College of Physicians between 1899 and 1905.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was created 1st Baronet Church, of Oxford [U.K.] on 8 March 1901.²

     Bertram Luard-Selby was born on 12 February 1853 at Ightham, Kent, England.¹ He was the son of Major Robert Luard-Selby and Lewis Marianne Selby.¹ He married Alexandra Ann Wright.¹ He died on 26 December 1918 at age 65 at Brigg, Lincolnshire, England.¹
