He was given the name of FitzRoy Hamilton Lloyd-Anstruther at birth.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 On 7 November 1910 his name was legally changed to FitzRoy Hamilton Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe by Royal Licence.2 He was Permanent Staff Officer of the Motor Reserve Staff.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was created 1st Baronet Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, of Elvetham Hall, in the parish of Elvetham, Hampshire [U.K.] on 1 July 1929.2
