     Sybil Vera Grenfell was born on 21 July 1902.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Morton Grenfell and Lady Victoria Sybil Mary Grey.²
     She was Lady-in-Waiting to HRH Princess Alice Countess of Athlone between 1943 and 1945.¹ She was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1945.¹ She was chairman of the National Association of Mixed Clubs and Girls’ Clubs between 1949 and 1960.¹ She was Secretary of Northcote Children’s Emigration Fund Australia.¹ She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1961.¹

     William Thomas Graves, 3rd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend was born on 18 April 1804.¹ He was the son of Thomas North Graves, 2nd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend and Lady Mary Paget.² He married, firstly, Josephine Thérèse Berthier, daughter of General Louis Cesar Gabriel Berthier, on 11 August 1829.¹ He married, secondly, Louise Adèle Maléne in 1833.¹ He died on 20 March 1870 at age 65.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Foot Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend [I., 1794] on 7 February 1830.² He was Aide-de-Camp to theLord-Lieutenant of Ireland.¹

     Lt.-Col. Patrick Lort-Phillips was born on 21 May 1911 at Farnham, Hampshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Thomas Herbert Shoubridge and Constance Gladys Dugdale.^3,4 He married Katherine Florita Grenfell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Morton Grenfell and Hilda Margaret Lyttelton, on 23 September 1936.³ He died on 1 January 1979 at age 67 at Kilgetty, Dyfed, Wales.^3,2
     He was given the name of Patrick Shoubridge at birth.¹ In 1927 his name was legally changed to Patrick Lort-Phillips on inheriting the Lawrenny estates from his great-uncle.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.⁵ He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) and bar.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)³ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)⁵

     Frances Olivia Grenfell was born on 2 September 1918.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Morton Grenfell and Hilda Margaret Lyttelton.² She married Lt.-Col. George Patrick Campbell-Preston, son of Colonel Robert William Pigott Clarke Campbell-Preston of Ardchattan and Mary Augusta Margaret Nicol Thorne, on 2 December 1938.¹ She died on 22 November 2022 at age 104.³
     She was educated at St. Paul’s Girls’ School, London, England^G.¹ Her married name became Campbell-Preston. She was in the Women’s Royal Naval Service during the Second World War.¹ She was a member of the Argyll County Council between 1960 and 1964.¹ She held the office of Woman of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother between 1965 and 2002.¹ She was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1977.¹ In 1990 her name became Dame Frances Olivia Campbell-Preston. She was appointed Dame Commander, Royal Victorian Order (D.C.V.O.) in 1990.¹ She lived in 2003 at 93 Whitelands House, Cheltenham Terrace, London, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. George Patrick Campbell-Preston was born on 12 March 1911.^2,3 He was the son of Colonel Robert William Pigott Clarke Campbell-Preston of Ardchattan and Mary Augusta Margaret Nicol Thorne.² He married Frances Olivia Grenfell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Morton Grenfell and Hilda Margaret Lyttelton, on 2 December 1938.¹ He died on 14 March 1960 at age 49.³
     He lived Connel.⁴ Lt.-Col. George Patrick Campbell-Preston usually went by his middle name of Patrick.¹ He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)⁴ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Black Watch.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹

     Mildred Maisie Proctor was born circa 1906.¹ She is the daughter of Francis Owen Proctor.¹ She married Anthony Christopher Loraine, son of Silvio George Rendel and Ida Loraine, on 2 June 1932 at St. Mary of the Angels, Paddington, London, England^G.¹
     From 2 June 1932, her married name became Loraine.¹

     Laura Margaret Grenfell was born on 14 April 1920.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Morton Grenfell and Hilda Margaret Lyttelton.² She married Brigadier Bernard Edward Fergusson, Baron Ballantrae, son of General Sir Charles Fergusson of Kilkerran, 7th Bt. and Lady Alice Mary Boyle, on 22 November 1950.¹ She died in 1979.¹
     Her married name became Fergusson.

     Brigadier Bernard Edward Fergusson, Baron Ballantrae was born on 6 May 1911.³ He was the son of General Sir Charles Fergusson of Kilkerran, 7th Bt. and Lady Alice Mary Boyle.⁴ He married Laura Margaret Grenfell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Morton Grenfell and Hilda Margaret Lyttelton, on 22 November 1950.³ He died on 28 November 1980 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.³ He fought in the Second World War, in Burma.³ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1943.³ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1950.³ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of the University (D.U.) by University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand^G, in 1957.³ He retired from the military in 1958, with the rank of Brigadier, late of the Black Watch.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1962.³ He held the office of Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of new Zealand between 1962 and 1967.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1963.³ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Canterbury University, Christchurch, New Zealand^G, in 1966.³ He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)³ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)³ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Literature (F.R.S.L.)³ He was created Baron Ballantrae, of Auchairne in the County of Ayrshire and The Bay of Islands in New Zealand [U.K. Life Peer] on 10 July 1972.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.) in 1974.³

     George Duncan Fergusson was born on 30 September 1955.¹ He is the son of Brigadier Bernard Edward Fergusson, Baron Ballantrae and Laura Margaret Grenfell.² He married Margaret Sheila Wookey, daughter of Michael John Wookey, in 1981.¹

     Harington Balfour was born in 1827.¹ He was the son of Charles Balfour and Maria Caroline Harington.¹ He married Isabella Anne Kinloch, daughter of Sir David Kinloch of Gilmerton, 9th Bt. and Eleanor Hyndford Gibson-Carmichael, on 2 July 1863.¹ He died in 1910.¹
     He was in the Indian Civil Service.¹
