     Sir Ackroyd Herbert Gibson, 3rd Bt. was born on 5 August 1893.1 He was the son of Sir Herbert Gibson, 1st Bt. and Lilian Thomas.1 He married Maud Lilian Arnold, daughter of Dr. E. C. Arnold and Annette Frederikka Wedel von Jarlsberg, on 6 April 1918.1 He died on 15 June 1975 at age 81.2
     He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 3rd Essex Regiment and Royal Flying Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gibson, of Great Warley, co. Essex [U.K., 1926] on 14 May 1967.1
