Richard Barry, 7th Earl of Barrymore also went by the nick-name of Richard ‘Hellgate’.1 He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Barrymore, co. Cork [I., 1628] on 1 August 1773.1 He succeeded as the 25th Lord Barry [I., c. 1261] on 1 August 1773.1 He succeeded as the 12th Viscount Barry [I., 1541] on 1 August 1773.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Heytesbury between 1791 and 1793.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Berkshire Militia.1
Gibbs wrties that “although of considerable talents, his career was wild and perhaps only equalled in profligacy by the Duke of Buckingham.”1

Henry Barry, 8th Earl of Barrymore also went by the nick-name of Henry ‘Cripplegate’.1 He matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 21 April 1788.1 He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Barrymore, co. Cork [I., 1628] on 6 March 1793.1 He succeeded as the 13th Viscount Barry [I., 1541] on 6 March 1793.1 He succeeded as the 26th Lord Barry [I., c. 1261] on 6 March 1793.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the South Cork Militia.3
On his death, all of his titles (to the extent that they ever existed) became extinct.2
