     James Beaumont Strachey was born on 26 September 1887.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Strachey and Jane Maria Grant.1 He married Alix Sargant-Florence, daughter of Henry Smythe Sargant-Florence, on 4 June 1920.2 He died on 25 April 1967 at age 79, without issue.1
     He was educated at St. Paul’s School, London, England.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was a psychoanalyst and translator.1
