     General Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington was born on 17 March 1753.1 He was the son of William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington and Lady Caroline Fitzroy.1 He married Jane Fleming, daughter of Sir John Fleming, 1st and last Bt. and Jane Coleman, on 23 May 1779 at London, EnglandG.1 He died on 5 September 1829 at age 76.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Harrington, co. Northampton [G.B., 1742] on 1 April 1779.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Harrington, co. Northampton [G.B., 1730] on 1 April 1779.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Petersham of Petersham, co. Surrey [G.B., 1742] on 1 April 1779.1 He held the office of Governor and Constable of Windsor Castle.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 1st Life Guards.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.)1

     Jane Fleming was born in 1755.2 She was the daughter of Sir John Fleming, 1st and last Bt. and Jane Coleman.1,3 She married General Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington, son of William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington and Lady Caroline Fitzroy, on 23 May 1779 at London, EnglandG.4 She died on 3 February 1824 at St. James’s Palace, St. James’s, London, EnglandG.4
     Her married name became Stanhope.

     William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington was born on 18 December 1719.1 He was the son of William Stanhope, 1st Earl of Harrington and Anne Griffith.1 He married Lady Caroline Fitzroy, daughter of Charles Fitzroy, 2nd Duke of Grafton and Lady Henrietta Somerset, on 11 August 1746.1 He died on 1 April 1779 at age 59.1
     He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Troop Horse, Grenadier Guards.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Petersham of Petersham, co.
