     Elizabeth Penelope Cumberland was the daughter of Major George Burrell Cumberland.¹ She married Alexander Dick-Cunyngham, son of Sir William Hanmer Dick-Cunyngham, 6th/8th Bt. and Susan Alston-Stewart, on 24 November 1875.¹ She died on 21 November 1918.¹
     From 24 November 1875, her married name became Dick-Cunyngham.¹

     Major George Burrell Cumberland gained the rank of Major in the 42nd Highlanders.¹

     William Cathcart Smith Cuninghame, 14th of Caprington was born on 21 August 1814.¹ He was the son of John Smith Cuninghame and Anne Dick, 12th of Caprington.¹ He married Maria Anstruther, daughter of James Anstruther, on 3 August 1847.² He died on 13 January 1900 at age 85.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aryshire.²

     Anne Dick, 12th of Caprington was born on 9 January 1791.² She was the daughter of Sir William Dick, 4th Bt. and Joanna Douglas.¹ She was baptised on 17 March 1791 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.² She married John Smith Cuninghame, son of Thomas Smith, on 7 August 1812 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,2 She died on 3 October 1855 at age 64.¹
     From 7 August 1812, her married name became Cuninghame.¹

     John Smith Cuninghame was the son of Thomas Smith.¹ He married Anne Dick, 12th of Caprington, daughter of Sir William Dick, 4th Bt. and Joanna Douglas, on 7 August 1812 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,2 He died on 1 March 1830.¹
     He was principal Clerks of the Bills, Parliament House, Edinburgh.¹ He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)¹ He was given the name of John Smith at birth.¹

     Elizabeth Lee Clarke was born on 21 August 1808 at Hyde, Cheshire, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of George Hyde Clarke and Sarah Lee.^1,2 She was baptised on 21 September 1808 at Denton, Lancashire, England.² She married Isaac Scott Hodgson on 9 August 1831 at Stockport, Cheshire, England.¹ She died circa 19 April 1897 at Ellesmere, Shropshire, England.¹ She was buried on 22 April 1897 at Duddleston, Shropshire, England.²
     From 9 August 1831, her married name became Hodgson.¹

     Isaac Scott Hodgson was born circa 1808 at Jamaica.¹ He married Elizabeth Lee Clarke, daughter of George Hyde Clarke and Sarah Lee, on 9 August 1831 at Stockport, Cheshire, England.¹ He died circa 6 November 1881.¹ He was buried on 9 November 1881 at Duddleston, Shropshire, England.¹
     He lived at Manchester, Lancashire, England.¹

     Sarah Jane Hodgson was baptised on 10 September 1832 at Henllan, Denbighshire, Wales.² She was the daughter of Isaac Scott Hodgson and Elizabeth Lee Clarke.¹ She married George Henry Horsfall, son of Charles Horsfall and Dorothy Hall Berry, on 6 April 1853 at St. John’s Church, Paddington, London, England.¹ She died on 29 August 1927 at age 94.²
     From 6 April 1853, her married name became Horsfall.¹

     George Henry Horsfall was baptised on 17 August 1824 at St. George, Everton, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.¹ He was the son of Charles Horsfall and Dorothy Hall Berry.^1,2 He married Sarah Jane Hodgson, daughter of Isaac Scott Hodgson and Elizabeth Lee Clarke, on 6 April 1853 at St. John’s Church, Paddington, London, England.¹ He died on 14 June 1900 at age 75 at Toxteth Park, Lancashire, England.¹
