     Mary Stewart Payne-Townshend was the daughter of Horace Payne-Townshend and Mary Susanna Kirby.^1,2 She married Brig.-Gen. Hugh Cecil Cholmondeley, son of Hon. Thomas Grenville Cholmondeley and Katherine Lucy Sykes, on 24 March 1885.¹ She was also reported to have been married on 24 August 1885.² She died on 5 April 1929.²
     Her married name became Cholmondeley.

     Horace Payne-Townshend was born in 1824.² He was the son of Reverend Chambré Corker Townsend and Frances Vere Stewart.^2,3 He married Mary Susanna Kirby, daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Cox Kirby, on 20 October 1855.² He died on 2 February 1885.²
     He was given the name of Horace Townsend at birth.² He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.² He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1851 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.² In 1863 his name was legally changed to Horace Payne-Townshend by Royal Licence, under the will of Thomas Payne.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cork.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Cork.¹ He lived at Londonderry, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Edstaston House, Wem, Shropshire, England^G.²

     Cecily Charlotte Cholmondeley was born on 27 February 1886.² She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Hugh Cecil Cholmondeley and Mary Stewart Payne-Townshend.^1,2 She married Sir Richard St. John Jefferyes Colthurst, 8th Bt., son of Sir George St. John Colthurst, 6th Bt. and Edith Jane Thomasina Morris, on 2 August 1911.¹ She and Sir Richard St. John Jefferyes Colthurst, 8th Bt. were divorced in 1927.¹ She died on 1 January 1958 at age 71.¹
     From 2 August 1911, her married name became Colthurst.

     Sir Richard St. John Jefferyes Colthurst, 8th Bt. was born on 19 July 1887.¹ He was the son of Sir George St. John Colthurst, 6th Bt. and Edith Jane Thomasina Morris.² He married, firstly, Cecily Charlotte Cholmondeley, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Hugh Cecil Cholmondeley and Mary Stewart Payne-Townshend, on 2 August 1911.¹ He and Cecily Charlotte Cholmondeley were divorced in 1927.¹ He married, secondly, Denys Maida Hanmer West, daughter of Augustus William West and Fanny Madeline Jane Hanmer, on 3 February 1927.¹ He died on 18 February 1955 at age 67.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the London Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin between 1920 and 1921.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Colthurst, of Ardum, co. Cork [I., 1744] on 28 February 1951.¹

     Katherine Lucy Sykes was the daughter of Sir Tatton Sykes, 4th Bt. and Mary Anne Foulis.¹ She married Hon. Thomas Grenville Cholmondeley, son of Thomas Cholmondeley, 1st Baron Delamere of Vale Royal and Henrietta Elizabeth Williams-Wynn, on 8 August 1850.¹ She died on 6 March 1921.²
     Her married name became Cholmondeley.

     Evelyn Sylvia Parker was born on 22 August 1897.² She was the daughter of Rev. Hon. Archibald Parker and Hon. Maud Francis Bateman-Hanbury.² She married Thomas Marshall Brooks, son of Hon. Marshall Jones Brooks and Florence Thomas, on 14 April 1920.¹ She died on 17 December 1967 at age 70.¹
     From 14 April 1920, her married name became Brooks.

     Thomas Marshall Brooks was born on 23 February 1893.¹ He was the son of Hon. Marshall Jones Brooks and Florence Thomas.² He married Evelyn Sylvia Parker, daughter of Rev. Hon. Archibald Parker and Hon. Maud Francis Bateman-Hanbury, on 14 April 1920.¹ He died on 15 September 1967 at age 74.¹
     He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was awarded the Croix de Guerre avec palmes.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet-Colonel in the Cheshire Yeomanry, Reserve of Officers (Territorial Army.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Chester.¹

     Hon. Marshall Jones Brooks was born on 30 May 1855.² He was the son of Thomas Brooks, 1st Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw and Catherine Jones.³ He married Florence Thomas, daughter of Freeman Frederick Thomas and Hon. Mabel Brand, on 29 April 1889.² He died on 5 January 1944 at age 88.²
     He was educated at Ruby School, Rugby, England^G.² He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.² He lived at Portal, Tarporley, Cheshire, England^G.¹

     Florence Thomas was the daughter of Freeman Frederick Thomas and Hon. Mabel Brand.^2,3 She married Hon. Marshall Jones Brooks, son of Thomas Brooks, 1st Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw and Catherine Jones, on 29 April 1889.¹ She died on 2 February 1934.¹
     From 29 April 1889, her married name became Brooks. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire.¹ She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.¹

     Helen Thomas was the daughter of Freeman Frederick Thomas and Hon. Mabel Brand.¹ She married Edward John Downing Beaumont-Nesbitt on 30 April 1890.¹ She died on 27 July 1918.¹
     Her married name became Beaumont-Nesbitt.
