George Bernard Shaw was born on 26 June 1856 at Synge Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.3,4 He was the son of George Carr Shaw and Lucinda Elizabeth Gurly.5 He married Charlotte Frances Payne-Townshend, daughter of Horace Payne-Townshend and Mary Susanna Kirby, on 1 June 1898 at London, England.1,4 He died on 2 November 1950 at age 94 at Shaw’s Corner, Ayot Saint Lawrence, Hertfordshire, England, without issue.1,4
