     Margaret Jean Trevelyan was born on 14 October 1835 at Calcutta, Bengal, India.² She was the daughter of Sir Charles Edward Trevelyan, 1st Bt. and Hannah More Macaulay.³ She was baptised on 4 December 1835 at Calcutta, Bengal, India.² She married Henry Thurstan Holland, 1st Viscount Knutsford, son of Sir Henry Holland, 1st Bt. and Margaret Emma Caldwell, on 25 November 1858.¹ She died on 26 August 1906 at age 70.¹
     From 25 November 1858, her married name became Holland.¹ After her marriage, Margaret Jean Trevelyan was styled as Baroness Knutsford on 23 February 1888. After her marriage, Margaret Jean Trevelyan was styled as Viscountess Knutsford on 3 August 1895.

     He lived at Clifton, Lancashire, England.²
