William Stewart1

     William Stewart was the son of Thomas Stewart and unknown daughter Montgomery.2 He married Mary Anne Hopkins, daughter of Rt. Rev. Ezekiel Hopkins and Lady Aramintha Robartes, in 1693.1 He died in July 1713.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in 1697 in the 9th Regiment.1 He lived at Fort Stewart, County Donegal, Ireland.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Donegal.1 He had two other sons and a daughter.1
