Royal Oak.1 He was Officer-in-Charge of the H.M.S. Tiger between 1928 and 1929.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1929.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1934.1 He was awarded the Gold Medal RUSI.1 He wrote the book The Navy from Within, published 1939 (ASIN: B003AJTP3Q.)1
