     John Forrest Dewar was born on 3 May 1834.¹ He was the son of John Dewar and Elizabeth Burnet Innes.² He married Anne Hughes.¹ He died in 1877 at Canada^G.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He was a physician at Canada^G.¹

     Anne Hughes married John Forrest Dewar, son of John Dewar and Elizabeth Burnet Innes.¹
     Her married name became Dewar.

     Florence Dewar was the daughter of John Forrest Dewar and Anne Hughes.² She married Colonel Hugo Bagnani.¹ She died on 28 January 1935 at Rome, Italy^G.¹
     Her married name became Bagnani.

     Colonel Hugo Bagnani married Florence Dewar, daughter of John Forrest Dewar and Anne Hughes.¹ He died on 7 February 1917.¹

     Gilbert Innes Dewar was born on 22 July 1835.¹ He was the son of John Dewar and Elizabeth Burnet Innes.² He died on 26 September 1879 at age 44, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     James Dewar was born on 26 February 1837.¹ He was the son of John Dewar and Elizabeth Burnet Innes.² He married Jane Flora Wotherspoon, daughter of William Wotherspoon, on 4 September 1866.¹ He died on 14 June 1917 at age 80.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Surgeons of England (L.R.C.S.) in 1862.¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, in 1862 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He gained the rank of Assistant Surgeon between 1862 and 1864 in the Army Staff.¹ On 5 August 1871 Rosy Louisa, born , died unmarried 28 Dec 1890.¹ On 15 October 1873 Maud Elizabeth, born ).¹ On 25 June 1875 Arthur, born 7 June, died.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Linlithgowshire.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (F.R.C.S.E.) in 1878.¹ He lived at Drylaw House, Davidsons Mains, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     William Wotherspoon lived at Hillside, Aberdour, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     Jane Flora Wotherspoon was the daughter of William Wotherspoon.² She married James Dewar, son of John Dewar and Elizabeth Burnet Innes, on 4 September 1866.¹ She died on 19 May 1915.¹
     From 4 September 1866, her married name became Dewar.
