     Robert Frederick Anthony Throckmorton was born on 14 April 1920.¹ He was the son of Captain Herbert John Anthony Throckmorton and Ethel Mary Stapleton-Bretherton.¹ He died on 4 June 1940 at age 20, from wounds received in action.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Private in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹

     Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton was born on 3 November 1914.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Herbert John Anthony Throckmorton and Ethel Mary Stapleton-Bretherton.^1,2 She married Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. and Agnes Nivison Sloane, on 14 October 1942.³ She died on 16 September 1982 at age 67.³
     Her married name became Cotts.

     Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 October 1903.² He was the son of Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. and Agnes Nivison Sloane.² He married Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton, daughter of Captain Herbert John Anthony Throckmorton and Ethel Mary Stapleton-Bretherton, on 14 October 1942.² He died on 17 January 1995 at age 91 at Stowmarket, Suffolk, England^G.^2,3
     Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Crichton.² He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.² He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Major in the Irish Guards.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Cotts, of Coldharbour Wood, Reigate, Sussex [U.K., 1921] on 20 February 1964.²

     Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. was born on 15 July 1871.¹ He was the son of William Cotts and Sarah Muir.² He married Agnes Nivison Sloane, daughter of Robert Sloane, on 18 March 1901.¹ He died on 20 January 1932 at age 60.¹
     He was a shipowner and colliery proprietor.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the Borough of Hampstead.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for London.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.¹ A colonial merchant.¹ He helped in recruiting in South Africa during the First World War.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)¹ He was created 1st Baronet Cotts, of Coldharbour Wood, Reigate, Sussex [U.K.] on 15 June 1921.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (National Liberal) for the Western Isles between 1922 and 1923.¹

     Sir Richard Crichton Mitchell Cotts, 4th Bt. was born on 26 July 1946.¹ He is the son of Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton.²
     He was educated at Oratory School, Woodcote, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Cotts, of Coldharbour Wood, Reigate, Sussex [U.K., 1921] on 17 January 1995.¹

     Hamish William Anthony Mitchell Cotts was born on 15 September 1951.¹ He is the son of Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton.² He married Merlyn Mattiuzzo in 1995.³
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Lucinda Nancy Mitchell Cotts was born on 3 March 1944.¹ She was the daughter of Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton.² She married Christopher Kerrison.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     Her married name became Kerrison.

     Susan Marie-Josephe Mitchell Cotts was born on 15 March 1945.¹ She is the daughter of Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton.² She married John Davies in 1971.¹
     From 1971, her married name became Davies.

     Miranda Clare Frances Mitchell Cotts was born on 18 February 1948.² She is the daughter of Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton.^1,2 She married Tristram Cosmo Barran, son of Sir David Haven Barran and Jane Lechmere Macaskie, on 5 November 1973.¹
     From 5 November 1973, her married name became Barran.¹ She lived in 2003 at The ‘Oldall, Brent Eleigh, Sudbury, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     Tristram Cosmo Barran was born on 17 July 1945.¹ He was the son of Sir David Haven Barran and Jane Lechmere Macaskie.¹ He married Miranda Clare Frances Mitchell Cotts, daughter of Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton, on 5 November 1973.¹ He died in 1992, in a motor accident.¹
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹
