     Sir James Napier Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 2nd Bt. was born on 14 December 1924.¹ He was the son of Sir John Helias Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 1st Bt. and Bridget Mary Lindley.² He married Clare Rosemary Sandars, daughter of Colonel John Eric William Graves Sandars, on 6 September 1958.¹ He died on 2 July 1971 at age 46.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet McEwen, of Marchmont, co. Berwick [U.K., 1953] on 19 April 1962.¹

     Margaret McEwen was born on 29 May 1959.¹ She is the daughter of Sir James Napier Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 2nd Bt. and Clare Rosemary Sandars.² She married Edward John Ivo Stourton, son of Nigel John Ivo Stourton and Rosemary Jennifer Rushworth Abbott, on 5 July 1980.¹ She and Edward John Ivo Stourton were divorced in 2001.¹
     From 5 July 1980, her married name became Stourton.

     Mary Gabriel McEwen was born on 5 January 1963.¹ She is the daughter of Sir James Napier Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 2nd Bt. and Clare Rosemary Sandars.² She married Vincent Patrick Byrne, son of W/Cdr. Vincent George Byrne and Hon. Nona Georgette Lawrence, in 1989.¹
     From 1989, her married name became Byrne.

     Christina McEwen was born on 19 January 1964.¹ She is the daughter of Sir James Napier Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 2nd Bt. and Clare Rosemary Sandars.² She married Anthony David Longueville Norton, son of David Norton and Margaret Mary C. W. Longueville, in 1992.¹
     From 1992, her married name became Norton.

     Sir Robert Lindley McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 3rd Bt. was born on 23 June 1926.¹ He was the son of Sir John Helias Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 1st Bt. and Bridget Mary Lindley. He married Brigid Cecilia Laver, daughter of James Laver, on 18 September 1954.¹ He died in 1980.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1951 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet McEwen, of Marchmont, co. Berwick [U.K., 1953] on 2 July 1971.¹

     Brigid Cecilia Laver is the daughter of James Laver.² She married Sir Robert Lindley McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Helias Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 1st Bt. and Bridget Mary Lindley, on 18 September 1954.¹
     Her married name became McEwen. She lived in 2003 at Polwarth Crofts, Duns, Berwickshire, Scotland.¹

     Mary Christian McEwen was born on 21 April 1956.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Robert Lindley McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 3rd Bt. and Brigid Cecilia Laver.²

     Catherine Veronica McEwen was born on 25 April 1958.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Robert Lindley McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 3rd Bt. and Brigid Cecilia Laver.² She died on 8 September 1983 at age 25, unmarried.¹

     Helena Mary Elizabeth McEwen was born on 3 November 1961.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Robert Lindley McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, 3rd Bt. and Brigid Cecilia Laver.²
