     Andrew Hume, Lord Kimmerghame was born on 19 July 1676.1 He was the son of Patrick Hume, 1st Earl of Marchmont and Grizel Ker.2 He married Elizabeth Douglas, daughter of John Douglas and Alice Hutchison, in 1700.1 He died on 16 March 1730 at age 53.1
     He was styled as Lord Kimmerghame in 1714.3 He held the office of Lord of Session between 1714 and 1730.1,3 He lived at Kimminghame, Berwickshire, Scotland.1

     John Douglas was born before 1689.2 He married Alice Hutchison, daughter of Michael Hutchison.2 He died after 1708.2
     He was Town Clerk of Newcastle between 1699 and 1709.2 He was admitted to Gray’s Inn on 26 April 1702.2

     Elizabeth Douglas is the daughter of John Douglas and Alice Hutchison.2,3 She married, firstly, William Douglas, 12th of Cavers, son of Sir William Douglas, 11th of Cavers and Katherine Rigg.3 She married, secondly, Andrew Hume, Lord Kimmerghame, son of Patrick Hume, 1st Earl of Marchmont and Grizel Ker, in 1700.1
     From 1700, her married name became Hume.1

     John Hume was born in 1711.1 He was the son of Andrew Hume, Lord Kimmerghame and Elizabeth Douglas.2 He married Margaret Drummond, daughter of William Drummond of Grange, in 1734.1 He died on 28 September 1738, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Army Officer.1

     Helen Hume was the daughter of Andrew Hume, Lord Kimmerghame and Elizabeth Douglas.2 She married Andrew Wauchope of Niddrie, son of James Wauchope and Jane Wallace, in June 1735.1 She died, leaving issue.1
     From June 1735, her married name became Wauchope.1
