     Sir Edward Blackett, 4th Bt. was born on 9 April 1719.¹ He was the son of John Blackett and Patience Wise.¹ He was baptised at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He married Anne Douglas, daughter of Oley Douglas and Mary Harris, in September 1751.^1,2 He died on 3 February 1804 at age 84 at Thorpe Lee, Thorpe, Surrey, England^G.¹
     He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 16 February 1736/37.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 1 March 1756.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland from 4 February 1757 to 28 January 1758.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northumberland between 1768 and 1774.¹ He lived at Hexham, Northumberland, England^G.¹ He lived at Matfen Hall, Stamfordham, Northumberland, England^G.¹

     Anne Douglas was born circa 1725.¹ She was the daughter of Oley Douglas and Mary Harris.¹ She married Sir Edward Blackett, 4th Bt., son of John Blackett and Patience Wise, in September 1751.^1,2 She died on 30 December 1805 at Thorpe Lee, Thorpe, Surrey, England^G.¹
     From September 1751, her married name became Blackett.¹

     Oley Douglas is the son of John Douglas and Alice Hutchison.²

     Sir William Blackett, 5th Bt. was born on 16 February 1759 at Matfen Hall, Stamfordham, Northumberland, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Blackett, 4th Bt. and Anne Douglas.¹ He married Mary Anne Keene, daughter of Benjamin Keene, on 6 August 1801.¹ He died on 27 October 1816 at age 57 at Westoe Lodge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in 1817.¹
     He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 30 March 1778.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 3 February 1804.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland from 1807 to 1808.¹ He lived at Matfen Hall, Stamfordham, Northumberland, England^G.¹

     Mary Anne Keene was born circa 1782.² She was the daughter of Benjamin Keene.¹ She married Sir William Blackett, 5th Bt., son of Sir Edward Blackett, 4th Bt. and Anne Douglas, on 6 August 1801.¹ She died on 7 August 1859 at 34 Portman Square, Marylebone, London, England^G.¹
     From 6 August 1801, her married name became Blackett.¹

     Benjamin Keene is the son of Edmund Keene.¹
     He lived at Westoe Lodge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹

     Edmund Keene held the office of Bishop of Ely.¹

     Louisa Lucia Cooke was the daughter of Sir George Cooke, 7th Bt. and Frances Jory Middleton.¹ She married Sir Charles Miles Lambert Monck, 6th Bt., son of Sir William Middleton, 5th Bt. and Jane Monck, on 11 September 1804.² She died on 5 December 1824.²
     From 11 September 1804, her married name became Monck.¹
