     Archibald Douglas, 13th of Cavers was the son of Sir William Douglas, 11th of Cavers and Katherine Rigg.1,2 He married Anna Scott, daughter of Francis Scott of Gorrenberry.3 He died in 1741.3
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Roxburgh.1 He held the office of Receiver-General for Scotland between 1705 and 1718.3 He held the office of Postmaster-General [Scotland] in 1725.3
