     Eleanor Stratten Curtis was born on 5 November 1827.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Curtis.¹ She married Reverend John Thomas Layard, son of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary, on 31 October 1850.¹ She died on 8 February 1880 at age 52.¹
     From 31 October 1850, her married name became Layard.¹

     Charles Curtis lived at Plaistow, Essex, England.¹

     Augustus Villiers Layard was born on 29 December 1824.¹ He was the son of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary.¹ He died on 8 September 1848 at age 23 at Kamptoe, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 23rd Madras Light Infantry.¹

     Louisa Jane Layard was born on 17 July 1823.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Henry Joshua Margary on 2 August 1841.¹
     From 2 August 1841, her married name became Margary.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Henry Joshua Margary was born circa 1812.¹ He married Louisa Jane Layard, daughter of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary, on 2 August 1841.¹ He died on 21 January 1876.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.¹ He had seven sons and nine daughters.¹

     Caroline Mary Layard was born on 26 December 1827.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary.¹ She married George Somes in 1852.¹
     From 1852, her married name became Somes.¹

     George Somes married Caroline Mary Layard, daughter of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary, in 1852.¹
     He lived at Spencer Lodge, Roehampton, Surrey, England.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Sarah Frances Layard was born on 8 February 1830.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Sarah Jane Margary.¹

     Marianne Austen was born in 1789.¹ She was the daughter of Nathaniel Austen.¹ She married Henry Peter John Layard, son of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward, on 14 December 1814.¹
     From 14 December 1814, her married name became Layard.¹

     Nathaniel Austen was a banker.¹ He lived at Ramsgate, Kent, England.¹
