Most Reverend William Thomson1

Most Reverend William Thomson was born on 11 February 1819.1 He was the son of John Thomson.3 He married Zoë Skene, daughter of James Henry Skene and Rhalou Rhangabé, in 1855.4 He died on 25 December 1890 at age 71.1
He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He held the office of Bishop of Gloucester.1 He held the office of Bishop of Bath and Wells.1 He held the office of Archbishop of York between 1862 and 1890.4,2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He was Provost at Queen’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1
