     Sir Paul Anthony Thompson, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 October 1939.¹ He is the son of Sir Kenneth Pugh Thompson, 1st Bt. and Nanne Broome.² He married Pauline Dorothy Spencer, daughter of Robert Orrell Spencer, on 14 August 1971.¹
     He was educated at Aldenham School, Elstree, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Thompson, of Walton-on-the-Hill, City of Liverpool [U.K., 1963] in 1984.¹ He lived in 2003 at Woodlands Farmhouse, Ruff Lane, Ormskirk, Lancashire, England.¹
