     Rebecca Forbes was born on 24 December 1779 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 She was the daughter of Sir William Forbes of Monymusk, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Hay.1 She married Colonel Alexander Ranaldson Macdonell, 15th of Glengarry, son of Duncan Macdonell, 14th of Glengarry and Marjory Grant, on 20 January 1802 at Kilmonivaig, Inverness-shire, ScotlandG.2,3 She died in 1826.1 She was also reported to have died in 1840.4
     From 20 January 1802, her married name became Macdonell.
