     Major Sir Thomas Calderwood Dundas of Arniston, 7th Bt. was born on 27 November 1906.² He was the son of Sir Henry Herbert Philip Dundas of Arniston, 3rd Bt. and Lady Beatrix Douglas-Home.² He married Isabel Goring, daughter of Charles Goring and Gabrielle Beatrice Mary Alleyne, on 7 June 1933.³ He died on 2 December 1970 at age 64.³
     He was educated at Loretto School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He fought in the Second World War, in North-West Europe, and was mentioned in despatches.² He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.³ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for East Sussex in 1954.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Sussex in 1959.² He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Dundas, of Arniston, co. Midlothian [U.K., 1898] on 18 June 1967.² On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.²

     Isabel Goring was born on 12 November 1909.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Goring and Gabrielle Beatrice Mary Alleyne.¹ She married Major Sir Thomas Calderwood Dundas of Arniston, 7th Bt., son of Sir Henry Herbert Philip Dundas of Arniston, 3rd Bt. and Lady Beatrix Douglas-Home, on 7 June 1933.¹ She died on 5 July 1997 at age 87.¹
     Her married name became Dundas.

     Charles Goring was born on 12 September 1862.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Goring and Isabella Mary Thomas.¹ He married Gabrielle Beatrice Mary Alleyne, daughter of Reverend Arthur Osbourne Alleyne, on 26 July 1906.¹ He died on 10 April 1924 at age 61.¹
     He lived at Wiston, Sussex, England^G.

     Gabrielle Beatrice Mary Alleyne was the daughter of Reverend Arthur Osbourne Alleyne.¹ She married Charles Goring, son of Reverend John Goring and Isabella Mary Thomas, on 26 July 1906.¹ She died on 20 October 1970.¹
     Her married name became Goring.

     Reverend Arthur Osbourne Alleyne was the Rector at St. Edmund’s, Exeter, Devon, England^G.¹

     Reverend John Goring was born on 3 March 1824.¹ He was the son of Charles Goring and Mary Ballard.¹ He married Isabella Mary Thomas, daughter of Freeman Thomas and Amelia Frederick, on 24 September 1861.¹ He died on 15 January 1905 at age 80.¹
     He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Wiston, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Isabella Mary Thomas was born in June 1842 at Findon, Sussex, England.² She was the daughter of Freeman Thomas and Amelia Frederick.¹ She married Reverend John Goring, son of Charles Goring and Mary Ballard, on 24 September 1861.¹ She died on 24 August 1885 at age 43.¹
     Her married name became Goring.

     Freeman Thomas was born on 23 August 1808.² He was the son of Inigo Thomas and Hon. Frances Anne Brodrick.³ He married Amelia Frederick, daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Frederick and Anne Susannah Glasse, on 26 April 1836.² He died on 15 January 1905 at age 96.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 8th Hussars.² He lived at Ratton, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Charles Goring was born in 1744.^1,2 He was the son of Sir Charles Mathew Goring, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Fagge.¹ He married, firstly, Sarah Beard, daughter of Ralph Beard, on 20 April 1779.² He married, secondly, Elizabeth Luxford, daughter of Edward Luxford, on 7 June 1798.² He married, thirdly, Mary Ballard, daughter of Reverend John Ballard, on 7 May 1812.² He died on 3 December 1829.¹
     In 1784 he inherited the Wiston, Sussex estate from his mother.¹ He lived at Wiston, Sussex, England^G.²

     Mary Ballard was the daughter of Reverend John Ballard.¹ She married Charles Goring, son of Sir Charles Mathew Goring, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Fagge, on 7 May 1812.² She died on 18 November 1845.¹
     Her married name became Goring.
