     Lt.-Col. Walter Goring was born on 21 December 1863.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Goring and Isabella Mary Thomas.¹ He married Jane Margaret Starkey, daughter of John Frederick Starkey and Mary Margaret Snow, on 23 August 1905.¹ He died on 10 December 1951 at age 87.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet COlonel in the 3rd King’s Own Hussars.¹

     Jane Margaret Starkey was born in 1878.² She was the daughter of John Frederick Starkey and Mary Margaret Snow.² She married Lt.-Col. Walter Goring, son of Reverend John Goring and Isabella Mary Thomas, on 23 August 1905.¹ She died on 1 May 1956.¹
     From 23 August 1905, her married name became Goring.¹

     Clement Francis Salaman was born on 23 December 1932.¹ He is the son of Sebastian Max Alexander Myer Clement Salaman and Joan Elisabeth Patterson.¹ He married Juliet Freda Nicholson, daughter of Robert W. Nicholson and Dorothy M. Gill, on 19 August 1961.¹
