     Hon. Stephen Edmond Spring Rice was born on 23 July 1877.¹ He was the son of Thomas Spring Rice, 2nd Baron Monteagle of Brandon and Elizabeth Butcher.² He died on 7 April 1900 at age 22, unmarried.¹

     Thomas Aubrey Spring Rice, 3rd Baron Monteagle of Brandon was born on 8 November 1883.¹ He was the son of Thomas Spring Rice, 2nd Baron Monteagle of Brandon and Elizabeth Butcher.² He died on 11 October 1934 at age 50, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1907 and 1934.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1922.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1926.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Monteagle of Brandon, of Brandon, co. Kerry [U.K., 1839] on 24 December 1926.¹ He was awarded the Officer, Order of Leopold of Belgium.¹

     Hon. Mary Ellen Spring Rice was born on 14 September 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Spring Rice, 2nd Baron Monteagle of Brandon and Elizabeth Butcher.² She died on 1 December 1924 at age 44, unmarried.¹

     Sophia von Thüringen is the daughter of Ludwig II Landgraf von Thüringen.¹ She married Bernard III Kurfürst von Sachsen, son of Albrecht I Markgraf von Brandenburg.¹

     Hon. Theodosia Spring Rice was the daughter of Hon. Stephen Edmond Spring Rice and Ellen Mary Frere.² She married Reverend Edward William Chapman, son of W. G. Chapman, on 30 April 1872.¹ She died on 6 July 1926.¹
     In 1870 she was granted the rank of baron’s daughter.¹ From 30 April 1872, her married name became Chapman.

     W. G. Chapman lived at Paul’s Cray Hill, Kent, England^G.¹

     Reverend Edward William Chapman was the son of W. G. Chapman.² He married Hon. Theodosia Spring Rice, daughter of Hon. Stephen Edmond Spring Rice and Ellen Mary Frere, on 30 April 1872.¹ He died in February 1919.¹
     He held the office of Hon. Canon of Carlisle.²

     Mary Spring Rice was the daughter of Hon. Stephen Edmond Spring Rice and Ellen Mary Frere.² She married Edward William O’Brien, son of Hon. William Smith O’Brien and Lucy Caroline Gabbett, on 8 September 1863.² She died on 25 April 1868.²
     From 8 September 1863, her married name became O’Brien.
