He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was chairman of Central and City Holdings in 1981.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Mactaggart, of King’s Park, City of Glasgow [U.K., 1938] on 27 January 1987.1 He was diector ofr Scottish Ballet in 1988.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.)2 He lived in 2003 at Ardmore House, Ardtalla Estate, Islay, Argyllshire, ScotlandG.2
