     Mary Penrose was born on 21 August 1797.² She was the daughter of Reverend John Penrose and Jane Trevenen.^1,2 She married Dr. Thomas Arnold, son of William Arnold and Martha Delafield, on 7 August 1820 at Fledborough, Nottinghamshire, England.^1,2 She died on 30 September 1873 at age 76 at Ambleside, Cumberland, England^G.³
