     James Jervis Ogilvie Lindsay Carnegie was born on 12 October 1821 at Inverkeilor, Angus, Scotland.¹ He was the son of William Fullerton Lindsay Carnegie and Lady Jane Christian Carnegie.¹ He was baptised on 17 November 1821 at Inverkeilor, Angus, Scotland.¹ He died in 1831.¹

     Lady Georgina Henrietta Carnegie was born on 2 August 1811.¹ She was the daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts.¹ She died on 7 November 1827 at age 16.¹

     Georgiana Maria Elliot was the daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness.¹ She married William Hopetoun Carnegie, 8th Earl of Northesk, son of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts, on 14 February 1843.¹ She died on 23 February 1874.¹
     After her marriage, Georgiana Maria Elliot was styled as Countess of Northesk on 14 February 1843. From 14 February 1843, her married name became Carnegie.

     Lt.-Col. George John Carnegie, 9th Earl of Northesk was born on 1 December 1843.² He was the son of William Hopetoun Carnegie, 8th Earl of Northesk and Georgiana Maria Elliot.² He married Elizabeth Georgina Frances Elliot, daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope, on 28 February 1865 at St. Mary’s, Portsea, Hampshire, England^G.³ He died on 9 September 1891 at age 47.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1873 and 1874 in the Scots Fusilier Guards.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Forfarshire.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.² He succeeded as the 9th Lord Rosehill and Eglismauldie [S., 1639] on 5 December 1878.² He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Northesk [S., 1647] on 5 December 1878.² He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1885 and 1891.²

     Elizabeth Georgina Frances Elliot was born on 28 June 1843.² She was the daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope.¹ She married Lt.-Col. George John Carnegie, 9th Earl of Northesk, son of William Hopetoun Carnegie, 8th Earl of Northesk and Georgiana Maria Elliot, on 28 February 1865 at St. Mary’s, Portsea, Hampshire, England^G.² She died on 2 May 1933 at age 89.¹
     Her married name became Carnegie. After her marriage, Elizabeth Georgina Frances Elliot was styled as Countess of Northesk on 5 December 1878.

     George Edmund Lyons Elliot was born on 5 April 1849.¹ He was the son of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope.¹ He died in February 1919 at age 69.²

     Nina Helen Elliot was born on 29 October 1847.² She was the daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope.¹ She was baptised on 18 December 1847 at Wilton, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.³ She married Sir Thomas Dacres Butler, son of Colonel Thomas Butler and Arabella Dacres, on 12 July 1877.¹ She died on 7 March 1947 at age 99.¹
     Her married name became Butler.

     Sir Thomas Dacres Butler was born on 3 October 1845 at Hambledon, Hampshire, England.² He was the son of Colonel Thomas Butler and Arabella Dacres.^3,2 He married Nina Helen Elliot, daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope, on 12 July 1877.³ He died on 29 December 1937 at age 92.³
     He gained the rank of Captain in 1873 in the 52nd Light Infantry.² He held the office of Usher of the Black Rod, House of Lords between 1892 and 1929.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He lived at Hambledon, Hampshire, England.³

     Colonel Thomas Butler was born on 10 August 1798 at Marylebone, London, England.^2,3 He was the son of Thomas Butler and Hester (?)^2,3 He was baptised on 18 August 1798 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England.³ He married Arabella Dacres, daughter of Vice-Admiral James Dacres and Arabella Boyd Dalrymple, in 1841.⁴ He died in 1885.⁴
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 53rd Regiment.⁴

     Hersey Eliza Cecilia Elliot was born circa 1854 at Portugal.^2,3 She was the daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Gerald Rivers Maltby, son of Reverend Henry Joseph Maltby and Elizabeth Mary Bradford, on 20 July 1876 at Portsea, Hampshire, England.^1,4 She died on 17 May 1918.¹
     Her married name became Maltby.
