     Admiral Hon. Swynfen Thomas Carnegie was born on 8 March 1813.¹ He was the son of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts.¹ He married Louisa Albertina Hope, daughter of Adrian John Hope and Emilie Mélanie Mathilde Rapp, on 29 September 1858.¹ He and Louisa Albertina Hope were divorced in 1872.¹ He died on 29 November 1879 at age 66, without issue.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Louisa Albertina Hope is the daughter of Adrian John Hope and Emilie Mélanie Mathilde Rapp.¹ She married, firstly, Admiral Hon. Swynfen Thomas Carnegie, son of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts, on 29 September 1858.¹ She and Admiral Hon. Swynfen Thomas Carnegie were divorced in 1872.¹ She married, secondly, Baron Sigismund von Billing after 1872.²
     Her married name became Carnegie.

     Adrian John Hope was born in 1811.² He is the son of Thomas Hope and Hon. Louisa Beresford.² He married Emilie Mélanie Mathilde Rapp, daughter of General Jean Rapp and Albertine Charlotte Freiin von Rotberg.² He died in 1863.²

     Lady Mary Carnegie was born in 1789 at Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts.¹ She was baptised at St. Thomas Church, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² She married Walter Long, son of John Long and Ellen Hippesley Trenchard, on 12 February 1810 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.² She died on 7 March 1875 at Hampshire, England^G.²
     From 12 February 1810, her married name became Long.²

     Walter Long was born on 24 November 1788 at Hampshire, England^G.² He was the son of John Long and Ellen Hippesley Trenchard.² He married Lady Mary Carnegie, daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts, on 12 February 1810 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.² He died on 5 January 1871 at age 82.² He was buried at Upham, Hampshire, England^G.²
     In 1797 he inherited the estate of Preshaw from his father.² He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1809 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1812 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1824.² He lived at Preshaw House, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Anne Letitia Carnegie was born circa 1796. She was the daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts.¹ She married James Cruikshanks on 18 January 1821.¹ She died on 25 February 1870.¹
     Her married name became Cruikshanks.

     James Cruikshanks married Lady Anne Letitia Carnegie, daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts, on 18 January 1821.¹ He died on 4 May 1842.¹
     He lived at Langley Park, Angus, Scotland^G.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Margaret Carnegie was born in 1798.¹ She was the daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts.¹ She married General Frederick R. Thackeray on 21 November 1825.¹ She died on 12 April 1886.¹
     Her married name became Thackeray.

     General Frederick R. Thackeray married Lady Elizabeth Margaret Carnegie, daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts, on 21 November 1825.¹ He died on 19 September 1860.¹
     He gained the rank of General in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Lady Jane Christian Carnegie was born on 14 November 1800 at Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts.² She was baptised on 9 December 1800 at Wincehster, Hampshire, England.¹ She married William Fullerton Lindsay Carnegie on 27 December 1820 at Westminster, London, England.¹ She died on 1 October 1840 at age 39 at Inverkeilor, Angus, Scotland.¹
