     Adrian Elias Hope was the son of Adrian John Hope and Emilie Mélanie Mathilde Rapp.2 He married, firstly, Lady Ida Louisa Alice Duff, daughter of James Duff, 5th Earl Fife and Lady Agnes Georgiana Elizabeth Hay, on 3 June 1867.1 He and Lady Ida Louisa Alice Duff were divorced in 1873.1 He married, secondly, Mildred Henriett Scott, daughter of Sir Francis Edward Scott, 2nd/3rd Bt. and Mildred Anne Cradock-Hartopp, on 12 October 1876.3 He died on 18 November 1919.3
     He lived at 8 Clifton Place, Hyde Park, London, England.3
