Isabella Augusta Persse1 
Isabella Augusta Persse was born on 15 March 1852.1 She was the daughter of Dudley Persse and Frances Barry.3 She married Rt. Hon. Sir William Henry Gregory, son of Robert Gregory and Elizabeth O’Hara, on 4 March 1880.1 She died on 22 May 1932 at age 80.1
Isabella Augusta Persse usually went by her middle name of Augusta.2 From 4 March 1880, her married name became Gregory. Yeats wrote ‘she had made the people part of her soul.1‘ She was co-founder of Abbey Theatre, Dublin.1 She was a playwright.1
